🚀 AluVET Project, run by Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association, is making great progress!

🏭 The project aims to develop a digital inventory in addition to the educational content that supports the 👩🏻‍🏫 vocational education curriculum, with a focus on the aluminum sector.

📌 Tt the meeting hosted by the Aluminum Federation (ALFED) in England between 12-13 July 2023, the project partners discussed the current developments and activities to be carried out in detail.

Training of Trainers event was held on May 23-26, 2023, hosted by Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, to evaluate and implement the educational content produced within the Project scope.

🔎 According to research conducted by LinkedIn;

📈 92% of skill experts consider social skills to be equally or more important than basic skills during the hiring process.
📉 89% of managers believe that the main reason for a new hire's failure is usually a lack of basic social skills.

👩‍💻 As the use of technology in the workplace increases, it makes it easier for individuals to work and collaborate with others, and the need for teamwork and cooperation also increases.

🤝 With the partnership, a training curriculum is being developed to improve the basic social skills such as #communication, #collaboration, and #leadership of workers in the aluminum industry.

🔍 We aim to develop online #toolbox and #onthejob observation platform within the AluVET project with the participation of partners from #GR, #UK and #TR.

📌 While the toolbox will serve as a guide that shows the tools and technologies used in the aluminium sector, the on-the-job #observation platform will provide the opportunity for VET trainers to visit aluminium firms that are using tools and technologies found in the toolbox. Users will be able to reach and use the toolbox and on-the-job observation platform in 3 countries.

Our second transnational meeting was held in a hybrid setting and hosted by IED in Larissa/Greece, with the participation of representatives from each partner institution.

The AluVET Project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and coordinated by IDDMIB, aims to increase the aluminium technology competencies of Metal Technology Vocational trainers and students with new training program that supports the curriculum.
